Child Safety and Care

For many children living with epilepsy and neurological disabilities, the Good Start Challenge was not just another project, it was the first time their health, safety, and daily care were looked at together. Over the first 6 months, CareEpilepsy Ethiopia provided clinical care, medication support, specialist neurological assessment, and structured safe care for 1000 patients. Behind this number are children whose seizures were not well controlled, parents who were afraid and exhausted, and families who did not know where to turn. By bringing care closer to them, we helped children receive the medical attention they needed, supported caregivers to understand their child’s condition, and created a safer pathway for follow up and protection. With further support, we can reach more children before they fall through the gaps, and give families the confidence that their child is not forgotten.
