Strategic Partnerships Initiatives

Strategic partnerships are at the heart of CareEpilepsy’s mission to transform the lives of people affected by epilepsy. By working with national and international stakeholders, we aim to improve healthcare, raise awareness, and influence policies that prioritise epilepsy care.
By collaborating with national and international stakeholders, we aim to enhance healthcare, raise awareness, and influence policy to ensure that epilepsy receives the attention it deserves.

These collaborations enable us to involve dedicated neurologists and psychiatrists who provide essential emergency care and regular follow-up services. Internationally, we work with the International Bureau for Epilepsy and Ethiopian Medical Diaspora Networks. These partnerships bring in global experts for clinical consultations and training, thereby strengthening local healthcare capacity.

Our youth volunteers also lead awareness campaigns to fight stigma and educate communities.

Key aspects of our partnership work include:

  • Empowering Voices: Encouraging individuals with epilepsy to advocate for their needs.
  • Policy Advocacy: Influencing government policies and practices targeting primary healthcare providers, the Ministry of Health, local leaders, non-state actors, state actors, and key health stakeholders.
  • Partnerships: Engaging with neurologists, private entities, community associations, and charities to address epilepsy needs.
  • Community Engagement: Working with community leaders and traditional healers to build support and understanding.
  • International Collaboration: Partnering with global organizations to amplify our advocacy efforts.
