Caregiver Wellbeing

Over the first 6 months of the Good Start Challenge, CareEpilepsy Ethiopia focused on strengthening support for caregivers of children with epilepsy and neurological disabilities.

The project showed us clearly that caregiver wellbeing and child safety must be supported together. Many caregivers are not only looking for information. They need emotional support, practical guidance, peer connection, health support, and livelihood pathways that help them care for their children with dignity and confidence.

Through the project, caregivers were brought together through counselling, peer support, health guidance, and wellbeing activities. Children were supported through clinical care, medication support, inclusive play, learning, and structured safe care.
