This week, CareEpilepsy is in Lisbon for the 36th International Epilepsy Congress, joining over 4,400 participants from 120 countries in a global exchange of ideas, research, and advocacy.
This afternoon (1st September 2025), our Founder, Enat Yewnetu, presented on the economic cost of epilepsy — a pressing yet often overlooked reality in low-resource settings like Ethiopia. For many families, epilepsy is not just a medical challenge but a daily financial struggle that impacts every aspect of life.
By bringing these lived realities to the global stage, we aim to amplify unheard voices and drive recognition, action, and equity for people with epilepsy everywhere.
