International Epilepsy Day is a unique event which promotes awareness of epilepsy in more than 130 countries each year. Every year on the second Monday of February, people join together to acknowledge and highlight the problems faced by people with epilepy, their families and carers and speak with one global voice.  This event is a joint initiative by the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) and the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE).  International Epilepsy Day is a significant step in improving epilepsy awareness in every region of the world and will highlight the urgent need for increased research in epilepsy.  Every year it has a specific theme other than general promoting epilepsy advocacy and educating the public.  See what CareEpilepsy Ethiopia has done joining the global voice on hte 14th February 2022.
